Let me just give you an update on what is in Christ Compels prayers and what the Lord has been saying to us.
First of all, thank you for those that joined us in prayer about Joalyne. Your words of encouragement and joining forces in prayer mean so much to us. Compassion still has not verified that Joalyne is safe. They have many children to locate. However, I learned so much more about where she lives. She lives on Gonave Island, just west of Port-au-Prince. I’ve always just been told that she lives in Port-au-Prince. This island is one of the poorest places on earth. You may be hearing more about this in a later devotion. Compassion has been able to tell me that she was not in the center part of the earthquake, but they do not know if she is alright. Please keep praying for Joalyne and the people of Haiti. Pray for the relief workers. Pray for God’s Spirit to break the hold of the enemy and to rain on the people so they will see the Jesus.
In the month of March, we will be focusing our devotions to prepare us for Resurrection Sunday. I must tell you that I had my best Christmas ever through the devotions that prepared us for last Christmas. It is my prayer for God to get our hearts ready to give Him honor for this coming Resurrection Sunday.
God is also placed on my heart the need to tell more about what He is saying to me about His Son’s return. So I will start using the first Wednesday of every month to teach you about His Son’s return so that you and I will be prepared.
Lastly, you should know that Kendra and I both have the honor of preparing the way for Beth Moore to come to Rupp Arena in Lexington in August. Kendra is the prayer coordinator, and I am the overall city coordinator. God woke me up at 3:00 am this morning to give me a word about it. He is speaking so much to us as we prepare the way for the Holy Spirit to work in the lives of tens of thousands of women this summer. Isn’t it interesting that it is just prior to the Equestrian Games when the world is coming to Lexington? It is our prayer that just as Jerusalem was full when the Holy Spirit fell on the first believers, that so may Lexington be full with the nations when the Spirit falls in our time.
